November 25, 2019 AEE-LI Chapter Meeting: Joseph Lopes presents on “Disrupting the Energy Grid: How Solar Roofs, Electric Vehicles and Learning Thermostats Will Disrupt the Traditional Operation of the Electric Grid”

You are hereby invited to join the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers at our upcoming meeting on November 25, 2019 at 7 pm, to be held in Anna Rubin Hall Room 301, at the Old Westbury Campus of NYIT.  We are pleased to welcome Mr. Joseph Lopes, our own AEE-LI Secretary/Treasurer, who will present on “Disrupting the Energy Grid: How Solar Roofs, Electric Vehicles and Learning Thermostats Will Disrupt the Traditional Operation of the Electric Grid”.

Mr. Lopes has over 40 years of experience in serving the needs of the electric and gas utility industry.  His work has included energy program design, implementation and evaluation for utility residential and business programs, regulatory issues, load research analysis and systems design, demand response (DR) program implementation and evaluation (specializing in smart thermostat programs), multifamily programs, innovative pricing pilot studies, and integrated resource plans.  Before joining DNV GL in 2011, he was a founding partner of Applied Energy Group, Inc. (CFO for over 25 years).  He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Manhattan College and an M.S. in Energy Management from NYIT
