Monday, October 2 – AEE-LI Zoom Webinar (RSVP by Oct 1) – Mr. Luke McAuliffe of AuctionURenergy LLC, on “Energy Procurement in the 21st Century”

At our Monday October 2, 2023 meeting, the Long Island Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers were pleased to welcome Mr. Luke McAuliffe, President and Founder of AuctionURenergy LLC, who works with some of the largest and most sophisticated energy buyers in the country.  Luke presented on “Energy Procurement in the 21st Century”, focusing on the future of the New York State Energy Market and how to plan for upcoming changes.

Luke has served in an advisory role in energy management for over 20 years, and was the recipient of the prestigious F.E.M.P. award from FERC for his creation of a competitive contracting vehicle (via reverse auction process) for federal facilities to enroll in Demand Response programs.   He also recently developed and held the first online auctions for a Community Choice Aggregation’s (CCA’s) for Sustainable Westchester and the City of Yonkers.

Luke believes in developing and maintaining long term relationships, demonstrated by AUE’s 94% customer retention rate.  He strongly believes that a rigorous process combined with technology via “Auctions” yields the best results for energy procurement customers, which occurs in transparent and risk-free environment.

Prior to forming AUE, Luke held executive positions at several companies, including Transparent Energy (President), World Energy (VP) and CPower.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Energy Management from NYIT, a C.E.P. from AEE and a B.A. in Political Science from Hofstra University.
